Ibadan South East Constituency 2: Accord Candidate Raises Alarm Over Plot By Bayo Adelabu, Ajaja, Others To Substitute His Name

Honourable Adebolu Okiki Folorunso, the Accord Party Candidate for Ibadan South East Constituency 2 in the upcoming election in the Constituency has raised alarm over plots by Chief Adebayo Adelabu, Chief Mrs Bukola Ajaja and Mr Dairo Olaide to substitute his name with that of one Folorunso Tolulope Ahmed.

Honourable Okiki in a press release signed by him accused the Accord Party gubernatorial Candidate in Oyo state, Chief Bayo Adelabu, National Secretary, Chief Mrs Bukola Ajaja and State Secretary, Mr Dairo Olaide of trying to substitute his name with that of one Folorunso Tolulope Ahmed after failing to persuade him to drop his mandate.

According to him, he had been a member of the party before Chief Bayo Adelabu and his group decamped to Accord Party and that he participated in the primary of the Party which was held on June 6, 2022, at IMG Primary School, Alake, Academy, Ibadan, where he emerged consensus Candidate of the Party.

He added that leaders of the party who were present at the Primary were the Local Government Chairman, Adeshina Alimi a.k.a Major, Ward 7 Chairman, Segun Akande, Ward 8 Chairman, Raphael Okunoye, Ward 9, Hammed Saheed, Ward 10 Chairman, Rafiu Lukman, Ward 11 Chairman, Olayode Babatunde and Ward 12 Chairman, Babatunde Sunday, and other members of the Accord Party in Ibadan South East Local Government were all present at the Primary election.

Honourable Okiki further stated that he has since been issued a Certified of Return by INEC.

“I want to use this medium to tell the people of my Constituency, Ibadan South East Constituency 2, that I Honourable Adebolu Okiki Folorunso will not release my mandate to anybody irrespective of any threats and intimidation. I’m still the Ibadan South East Constituency 2, Accord Party Candidate. “
