President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has accepted the resignation of Geoffrey Uche Nnaji as Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology following allegations against him.
Nnaji, who was appointed minister in August 2023, resigned on October 7, 2025, in a letter expressing gratitude to the President for the opportunity to serve Nigeria.
In his letter, Nnaji said he had been subjected to blackmail by political opponents.
In a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, President Tinubu thanked Nnaji for his service and wished him success in his future endeavors.
