The Oyo Rising Citizens Forum (ORCF) has declared that the newly reinforced internal unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has positioned the party to achieve an overwhelming victory across all levels in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
In a press statement signed by Alaba Adebisi and Owolabi Salam, the prominent socio-political organisation emphasised that recent reconciliations have effectively defused long-standing internal divisions.
The ORCF noted that these strategic realignments have re-engineered the party’s political machinery across the state’s 33 local government areas.
The forum focused its appraisal on key leadership agreements, describing a mutual understanding between former Senate Leader Chief Teslim Folarin and Senator Sharafadeen Alli as a vital turning point for the state chapter.
The group noted that Folarin’s public backing of Alli, the party’s gubernatorial candidate, provides a clear, unified direction for grassroots mobilizers and party faithful heading into the electoral cycle.
Furthermore, the ORCF lauded a high-profile, closed-door strategic meeting between President Bola Tinubu and Senator Fatai Buhari.
The forum characterised the interaction as a significant development that underscores the national leadership’s commitment to reclaiming Oyo State.
According to the group, President Tinubu’s direct charge to Senator Buhari to spearhead grassroots mobilisation serves as a definitive catalyst to solidify the party’s structures.
The ORCF has actively created platforms for public engagement across the state, recently hosting a “Dialogue on the Future of Oyo State” in Ibadan with Senator Sharafadeen Alli as the guest speaker.
At the forum, Senator Alli presented a policy framework detailing governance blueprints focused on local government autonomy, education reform, workers’ welfare and others.
By pushing for open dialogue and celebrating internal cohesion, the ORCF expressed strong confidence that the consolidated front makes the opposition APC the most formidable political force in Oyo State as the 2027 race takes shape.
