As nations across the world celebrate today’s ‘International Day of Peace’, the United Nations in conjunction with the Leadership Council, International Cities of Peace, Dayton, USA, Nigeria branch have honoured a renowned entrepreneur, Chief (Dr) Kolawole Adewoyin with a ‘Peace Ambassador Award’, for his various exemplary contributions to humanity.
The award presentation which was part of the programmes put in place to commemorate the ‘2023 International Day of Peace, took place at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Press Centre, Iyaganku in Ibadan.
Chief Adewoyin who is also the Chairman of the occasion in his opening remark commended United Nations and Leadership Council, International Cities of Peace, Dayton, USA, Nigeria branch that organised the public lecture and award presentation to mark this year’s International Day of Peace.
According to him, there is no alternative for peace and that every individual must strive to achieve peace in any situation.
“Today being an International Day for Peace is a reminder to all of us that we should work together to maintain peace. It is only when there is peace that we can all develop as human beings and also as a nation.”

Chief Adewoyin is the President of Private Depot and Oil and Gas Association of Nigeria (PDOGMAN).
He is also one of the illustrious sons of Oyo town who has been contributing to the overall growth and development of Oyo kingdom, Ibadan, Lagos and Abuja where he has established businesses and employed many.
He is the Chief Executive Officer of Shiata Guest House, Kolly Shiata Petroleum, Chairman of AAA Adewoyin Petroleum, Aare Gbolaga of Iseyin Land and Asiwaju General Ona Mogba of Oyo Kingdom.
