Not fewer than twenty people have been killed as suspected herdsmen attacked Igangan, in Ibarapa North Local Government area of Oyo state.
The Gunmen suspected to be herdsmen, we gathered came on motorcycles to unleashed mayhem on the residents at midnight, killing, maiming and setting properties on fire.
While reacting to the attack, the Governor of Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde said that he has received the report.
“I have received the shocking news of the attacks on residents of Igangan, Ibarapaland, in the early hours of this morning. I am currently being briefed on the incidents. I urge residents to remain calm as security operatives are now in control of the situation.”
