Senator (Dr) Sharafadeen Alli, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, has condemned the abduction of the younger sister of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu and her twin sons.
Alli, in a statement issued on Wednesday in Ibadan, expressed deep concern over the kidnap of Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her twin sons by suspected gunmen in the state capital.
He said the incident had again reinforced the urgent need for stronger security architecture and proactive intelligence gathering to safeguard lives and property across Oyo State.
The APC governorship candidate sympathised with Adelabu and the entire family over the traumatic experience, praying for the safe and immediate release of the victims.
Alli described the abduction of innocent children alongside their mother as cruel, barbaric and unacceptable, urging security agencies to intensify efforts toward rescuing them unharmed.
He commended security operatives already working on the matter and called for coordinated collaboration among relevant agencies to ensure the kidnappers were apprehended and brought to justice.
Alli also appealed to residents to remain vigilant and support law enforcement agencies with credible information capable of assisting ongoing rescue operations.
According to reports, Mrs. John-Paul, 43, was abducted around 7:30 a.m. on June 3 while reportedly taking her twin sons, Peter and Paul to school in Ibadan.”
