The Oyo Rising Citizens Forum (ORCF), a prominent socio-political organisation with a robust network spanning all sectors and local government areas across the state, is set to host Senator Sharafadeen Alli, the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate for Oyo State, on a landmark interactive programme tagged “A Dialogue On The Future Of Oyo State”.
According to a joint press release issued and signed by Alaba Adebisi and Owolabi Salam, the strategic event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 29 September 2026, at 12:00 p.m. prompt at the Mercyfield Event Place, formerly known as NULGE Hall, located along Onireke Road, Dugbe, Ibadan.
According to the organisers: “The initiative is meticulously designed to provide a direct, transparent and one-on-one platform for the APC flag-bearer to engage with the public and explicitly detail his governance blueprint, policy frameworks and definitive vision for the economic and social trajectory of Oyo State if he is elected as the next executive governor.”
The Forum emphasised that, as a progressive group with an active membership drawn from every sector of society and across all local government areas in Oyo State, it decided to put the programme in place to showcase exactly what Senator Sharafadeen Alli has to offer the good people of Oyo State if he is given the mandate to lead in the 2027 elections.
The organisers further explained that the dialogue aims to move beyond conventional political campaigning, focusing instead on structural solutions for infrastructure, healthcare, education, civil service welfare and agricultural development.
“By bringing the candidate face-to-face with professional bodies, youth networks, trade unions, media representatives, community leaders and others, the Oyo Rising Citizens Forum intends to facilitate a robust exchange that sets a new benchmark for democratic engagement and accountability in the state,” the organisers stated.
The Forum extended a warm invitation to members of the press and the general public to witness the definitive conversation aimed at shaping a prosperous future for Oyo State.
The event will also feature renowned Fuji musicians Alhaji Rashidi Ayinde Merenge and Alhaji Taju System, as well as Segun Fowora.
