
Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has paid glowing tribute to the late former Gov. Abiola Ajimobi, as the family and political associates mark the fifth anniversary of his passing.
This is contained in a statement signed by his Media Office and made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Ibadan.
The lawmaker described the late governor as a visionary leader whose legacy continues to shape the political and developmental trajectory of the state.
“Today marks the fifth year since the passing of our revered leader, uncle and late former governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
“It is with deep reflection and gratitude that we remember a man whose leadership, courage and commitment to excellence remain etched in our hearts,” the statement read.
Alli hailed Ajimobi as a reformer, noting that his tenure as the first two-term governor brought significant achievements in urban renewal, infrastructure development, civil service reforms, peace and security.
He described Ajimobi as a father figure and unifying force within the APC, whose wisdom and guidance left a lasting impact on the party and its members.
He prayed for the continued repose of his soul and strength for his family, adding that “his legacies live on.”
