Over 150 Nigerians, who were stranded in Libya, voluntarily returned to the country on Tuesday.
Their return was facilitated by the International Organization of Migration (IOM).
The returnees landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) around 3:30pm aboard a chartered aircraft.
They were received at the Hajj Terminal by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). comprised of 92 adult females; 62 adult males; seven children, and two infants. Among them were three unaccompanied minors while three of the deportees require medical care.
As at the time of filing this report, the deportees are still stranded in the airport, while officials of NEMA were seen making arrangement on how to assist them.
It would be recalled that Nigerians as well as other blacks have been targets of the Libyans and many were said to have been killed.
The Presidency had earlier warned Nigerians against travelling to Libya which is still embroiled in conflict.
