Razak Emerges National President Of OPC New Era, As Congress Elects New Executive Members

The controversy that trailed the removal of Gani Adams as the National President of Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC, has been laid to rest with the election of Comrade Razak Arogundade as the new National President of Oodua Peoples Congress, (New Era).
Arogundade who emerged the new leader of Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC (New Era) is one of the foundation members of the group and has occupied various leadership positions in the past.
While speaking on his emergence as the new National President of OPC (New Era) Comrade Arogundade said he would use his appointment as the new OPC leader to defend the Yoruba nation from any form of attack.
He added that, past leaders of the group especially Gani Adams failed Yoruba sons and daughters by using his erstwhile position to mortgage the future of Yoruba people.
“Past leaders of OPC used their positions to mortgage the future of Yoruba sons and daughters. They have failed Yoruba race due to political partisanship.”
Arogundade who expressed his appreciation to all members of the group all over the world, urged them to support him in taking the group to the ‘Promised Land’.
“I promise to run an all inclusive administration where every member will have a sense of belonging. I will be a leader that will serve the overall interest of all Congress members and the Yoruba race.”
OPC New Era equally elected Comrade Adeola Adeagbo as the National Vice National President, Comrade Bayo Oyename as General Secretary, Abiodun Adesina (Assistant Secretary), Gbenga Aderogba (Financial Secretary), Bayo Fabiyi (Treasurer), Adesina Akinpelu (PRO) and Prince Boye Mayungbe (Baba Oodua General).
Also elected into the National Elders Council are Chief Olayinka Olowoporoku (Chairman) and Monsuru Akande (Vice Chairman), Reverend Isaac Dipo Igbakin, as a member of National Elders Council.
The group equally announced the emergence of Comrade Lateef Olawale Oshodi as Lagos State Coordinator, Comrade Victor Segun Adegboyega as Ondo State Coordinator, Comrade Bayo Fabiyi as Kwara State Coordinator and Comrade Akeem Adewale as Delta State Coordinator.
Also the group zoned the position of National Welfare Officer to Ondo State.
