The Nigeria Police Force has received a petition from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) regarding an incident involving popular musician Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as Kwam 1, who is accused of unruly behavior that allegedly obstructed the safe operation of an aircraft.
This was made known according to a statement by DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Force Public Relations Officer.
The incident reportedly took place on Aug. 5, 2025, at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, in violation of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations, 2023.
In response, Inspector-General of Police Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun has directed the Commissioner of Police in charge of the Airport Command to launch a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the event and ensure appropriate action is taken.
The police force emphasized its commitment to maintaining safety and security in Nigeria’s aviation sector and pledged continued cooperation with stakeholders to enforce aviation laws strictly.
