Oyo Amotekun DG: Group Canvases Support For General Bolarinwa rtd, Says He Is The Right Man For The Job

A group known as  Oyo State Stakeholders Forum, OSSF has urged Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi  Makinde to consider General Abiodun Bolarinwa rtd. as the State Director General of the newly approved Western Nigeria Security Network called ‘Operation Amotekun.

The Group in a press release signed by its chairman and secretary, Ajayi Ojo and Adebola Kolawole commended governors of Osun and Ekiti states for using ex-military chiefs to head Amotekun in their states.

“We use this medium to commend governors of Osun and Ekiti for appointing two ex-military chiefs to head Amotekun in their states. As a reliable group in Oyo state, we have done our findings and gathered names of some Yoruba ex-military chiefs. We have since discovered that General Abiodun Bolarinwa rtd. is the right person for the job in Oyo state. He is an ex-military chief who apart from having recorded great achievements as a soldier is also contributing his quota towards development of Yoruba nation and its people.”

The Group also advised Governor Seyi Makinde against using people who are not professionally qualified and who are morally bankrupts and are capable of sabotaging the operation of Amotekun in the South west.

“We want the governor Seyi Makinde to understand that it is not every Dick and Harry that can head  Oyo state Amotekun. The appointment of the head of Amotekun in Oyo state must be based on merit. Based on our research and findings, we found that General Abiodun Bolarinwa rtd, the President-General of the Yoruba Youth Forum, YYF is an ex-Military chief whose experience will be needed if Amotekun is to achieve meaningful results in Oyo state. He is a man who has over the years been safeguarding the interest of the Yorubas. He has been contributing his quota towards the development of Yoruba nation, especially in the area of youth empowerment for many years. His reputation for good deeds precedes him anywhere he goes to.”

Speaking further, the Group said that Mr Bolarinwa is a well experienced ex-military Chief who will be of great asset to Amotekun, if he is made the head of Amotekun in Oyo State.

The group also said that it will be  submitting General Bolarinwa’s letter of recommendation to the Governor and the State House of Assembly.
