As part of his efforts at improving the social well-being and combat security challenges confronting the people in his constituency area, the lawmaker representing Ibadan South East Constituency II in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige has donated 250, 000:00 for the Adeyemo community joint association to construct a police station in their domain in order to strengthen the security situation in the said area.
While donating the money, Hon. Ige explained that the gesture was in response to a request made by the said community for assistance in building a police station.
The comunity which comprises Adeyemo layout zone I and II, Bello layout , Osungbade, Yejide, Olateju, Ehin, Grammar, St. Lukes, Ibadan Grammar School, Kudeti, Ifesowapo and Ifedapo joint landlords/tenants association had earlier written a save our soul letter to hon. Ige over the incessant night robbery attacks currently being experienced by the residents living in the aforementioned community area.

While addressing the landlords, tenants and other people at the meeting held at the premises of Ini Oluwa School, Reverend P.F.Owa Crescent, Adeyemo, Ibadan Hon. Ige promised to use all his contact and connection to ensure the completion of the said police station, stressing that when completed, it will be one of the best community police stations in the country.
Hon. Ademola Ige also used the opportunity to highlight some steps he had taken to combat crime in his Constituency which including the installation of street lights being powered by generators at different locations at night, moving a motion on the floor of the House that led to the invitation of the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State and other Heads of Security Agents on the need to abate the incessant night robbery attacks on innocent citizens within Ibadan Metropolis among others.
In his remarks at the meeting, a renowned Cleric and Founder of Christ Revival Miracle Church (CREMIC) Adeyemo, Ibadan, Revd. P. F. Owa commended the lawmaker for the gesture, stressing that his action had shown that he was committed to the welfare of the people that elected him.
Revd Owa, who had earlier before now provided some building materials, donated #100,000:00 for the construction of the said project.
Similarly, a community leader and Chieftain of the Accord Party in Ibadan South East Local Government, Pa Solomon Ayanshina equally donated #100,000:00, a group known as OBN youth donated blocks while all the zones under the joint association equally promised #40,000:00 each.
In his response, the Chairman of the joint association, Pa Ogundipe A.O. and others who spoke at the meeting, expressed gratitude to hon. Ademola Ige for his prompt response to their request and promised their overwhelming support for his future political aspiration in the nearest political dispensation.
They recalled that the people in the aforementioned communities have been having sleepless nights for the past few months as a result of the action of the marauders that have been terrorising them which has led to the death of some innocent souls and loss of valuable property when they came to carry out their nefarious activities at night.
Special prayers were offered for Hon. Ige for his magnanimity and God’s guidance in his quest to serve God and humanity.
