Chief Dr. Kolawole Adewoyin Is the Authentic National President of IPMAN, Says Adepoju, Southwest Zonal Chairman

Adeyemi Adepoju, the South-West Zonal Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), has reiterated that Chief Dr. Kolawole Adewoyin is the duly recognized National President of IPMAN.

Adepoju, in an interview with our correspondent, emphasized that any other individual claiming leadership is an impostor acting in direct violation of the Supreme Court’s declaratory judgment.

He stated that while most regions—including the North West, North East, Eastern, and Midwest zones—have shown solid support for Chief Dr. Adewoyin, there remains resistance in the South-West due to the personal interests of some individuals.

He, however, urged members in the zone to prioritize the collective interests of IPMAN over individual gains.

Also, addressing reports of the ousted faction refusing to vacate IPMAN’s national office in Abuja, Adepoju acknowledged that the illegal leadership and their collaborators are still attempting to hold on but assured that legal enforcement will soon prevail, as they are risking imprisonment for contempt of court.

Adepoju, who described the Supreme Court judgment as a “liberation judgment,” encouraged law-abiding members nationwide to fully embrace and support Chief Dr. Adewoyin’s leadership and avoid being misled by selfish elements within the association.

Looking ahead, Adepoju expressed optimism about the new leadership’s potential, especially in bringing innovative changes during Nigeria’s ongoing deregulation of the petroleum sector.

“The tenure of Chief Dr. Kolawole Adewoyin will significantly advance the interests and operations of IPMAN members across the country.”
