Oyo Group Decries APM’s Campaign Of Calumny Against Senator Alli

The Oyo Rising Citizens Forum, ORCF, has decried what it described as ‘fake news ‘ and campaign of calumny over false report making round that Senator Sharafadeen Alli and his convoy were booed and stoned at Igbeti.

The Forum in a press statement signed by Aderemi Adebisi and Owolabi Salam described the report as not only ‘fake news’, but a malicious claim orchestrated by APM and its disgruntled sympathisers who are already jittery and rattled by imminent political defeat in 2027 elections.

The Forum strongly condemned the fake report alleging tension and violence in Igbeti and Kishi, where fabricators claimed residents stoned Senator Alli and his running mate, Hon. Adedeji Adesoji.

The Forum labelled the narrative of angry youths throwing stones as a complete fabrication designed to mislead the public.

According to the ORCF, the fictional account—which cited fabricated quotes from purported residents like Chief Jimoh Odetunde—was poorly manufactured by opposition elements unable to match the rising profile of the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer.

The Forum maintained that the consultative tours in Igbeti and Kishi were highly successful, peaceful, and met with enthusiastic support from residents.

The statement described Senator Alli as uniquely qualified to lead Oyo State, pointing to his extensive public service record as unmatched among the contenders for the 2027 governorship race.

The Forum noted that his tenure representing Oyo South in the National Assembly has been defined by transparent leadership and impactful human capital development.

The ORCF urged the public and the electorate in Oyo State to disregard the false report, describing it as the desperate kicks of a dying political opposition.

The Forum added that no amount of media blackmail would diminish Senator Alli ’s widespread acceptance across the State.
