As funeral arrangements begin for the late former Governor of Oyo State, Dr. Victor Omololu Sowemimo Olunloyo, the Oke-Odo Club, Kudeti, Ibadan, has paid a heartfelt tribute to the distinguished statesman, scholar, and community leader.
Dr. Olunloyo, who passed away on April 6, 2025, at the age of 89, is being remembered by members of the club, Ibadan, Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole for his enduring legacy of academic excellence and public service.

Beyond his brief tenure in office, he was celebrated as a world-class mathematician and a passionate advocate for educational reform.
He was a fellow of several international academic societies and played a pivotal role in advancing scientific research and infrastructural development in the region.
Members of the Oke-Odo Club recalled Dr. Olunloyo’s personal warmth, generosity, and relentless pursuit of excellence, both in his professional life and in his service to the community.
