Rejoinder On The False Information Provided By One Moshood Salawu Aro And Aired On ‘Tifun Tedo’ News Program Of Splash FM 105.5

The attention of Majengbasan Adeyemo Ayinla Family has been drawn to a story aired on ‘Tifun Tedo’ news program of the Splash FM 105.5 on the 21st of February 2017, in which one Moshood Salawu Aro laid claim to his family’s ownership of landed property at Alaro Village, Idi Ahun, Oluyole Extension, Ibadan.
Initially, we would not have responded to such fabricated lies and deceit, but for the sake of our family’s name and members of the public who are not aware of the truth about the said landed property; we are using this medium to shed light on the truth as against the fabricated lies of Moshood Salawu Aro and his fellow land grabbers.
At first, our family’s name is not ‘Aro Family’ as being circulated by Moshood Salawu Aro and his cohorts. Our family’s name is Majengbasan Adeyemo Ayinla Family and the ‘Aro’ which Moshood is claiming today was a name that originated from the wife of Majengbasan Adeyemo Ayinla. She was the one making dye for cloths which is known in Yoruba as ‘Aro’ and which brought about the name ‘Aro’ and subsequently ‘Alaro village’.
It is however very ridiculous for someone like Moshood Salawu Aro who is not a family member of Majengbasan Adeyemo Ayinla to lay claim to the landed property at Alaro Village, Idi Ahun in Oluyole extension, Ibadan.
For the purpose of setting the record straight, we have been over this issue for the past 30 years and it has been a subject of litigations in customary court; magistrate court; high court and court of appeal where we triumphed over Moshood Salawu Aro and his cohorts because we presented genuine proofs of ownership of the said property.
To mention two of the courts where we have secured judgments. In the High Court 10 sitting in Ibadan under Honourable Justice Muktar Ladipo Abimbola, we got judgment in a suit number: 1/197/98 on the 20th October 2005. Also in the Court of Appeal, Ibadan in a suit number: CA/I/328/2010, we got judgment from the three judges on the 12th of February 2013 and the names of the Court of Appeal judges are:  Hon. Justice Obietonbara Daniel-Kalio, Hon. Justice Chidi Nwaoma Uwa and Hon. Justice Joseph Shagbaor Ikyegh.
After the judgments that favoured us from these courts; one Ganiyu Ibiyemi Alawode who initially spearheaded the crisis over the said land backed out leaving Moshood Salawu Aro and his cohorts. Today, this Ganiyu Ibiyemi Alawode has apologised to the family of Majengbasan Adeyemo Ayinla for initially leading these treacherous people, now headed by Moshood Salawu Aro.
Also last year November, this Moshood Salawu Aro led some notorious land grabbers namely: Femi Baale, Alade Eya, Yakubu  Eya and the acting state coordinator of one Yoruba group  in Oyo state to cause mayhem at our Village (Alaro Village, Idi Ahun). They injured many of our people and also destroyed our heritage properties. We wrote a petition and it is on record that one them, (Alade Eya) was arrested and detained. He later signed an undertaking that he would never encroach on our land again.
Unfortunately, these notorious land grabbers have now stationed their thugs at Idi Ahun and are molesting innocent members of the public.
We use this medium to appeal to all security agencies in Oyo state to begin to enforce the recently passed law which stipulates 15 years jail term for land grabbers in Oyo state. By enforcing this law, the likes of Moshood Salawu Aro, Femi Baale, Alade Eya, Yakubu  Eya and other notorious land grabbers would be put where they rightly belong.
We commend Oyo state governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi on the signing into law the bill which stipulates 15 years jail term for land grabbers in Oyo state.
We also urge members of the public to ignore any future statement from Moshood Salawu Aro regarding the landed property at Alaro Village, Idi Ahun, Oluyole extension, Ibadan.
